1st Annual Woofgang Cup
Pooches & Polo Dog Contest Instructions
Judging will begin at 1pm. The judges will make one pass around the field starting at 1pm. Contestants will sign up as the judge passes by and select the category/categories they wish to participate in at that time. Winners will be announced between the fifth and sixth chukkers. Prizes will be given to first and second place for each category and will be awarded following the end of the game.
Our two Judges are both very experienced with canines as they are professional trainers.
Tiffany Winegar is the owner of Dog & Co. Tiffany’s specializes in behavior consulting, dog training programs and professional grooming. She can be contacted at 941-981-9112
Kim Butler is the owner of Simply Spotted Photography. Kim specializes in capturing fun, fresh and candid photographs of pets and their people. Kim also instructs at the Sarasota Obedience Training Club (SOTC). She can be contacted at 941-323-1400
The Categories will be as follows:
Best Tail Wagging - Dogs (not the handler) will be judged on the exuberance of their tail motion.
Most Original Costume - A class to judge the dog and/ or handler on their entertaining attire.
Most Mysterious Heritage - A class for those lovable pets whose features cross all lines of breed characteristics. You will not find this class at Westminster.
Terrific Pet Tricks - Show off your dog’s talent to do anything. It does not have to be outrageous.
Best Vocal Performance - Move over Barbara, get out of the way Celine. This category features canine crooners with the most unforgettable talents.
Most Glamorous - Paris, Milan, New York, Dupont Circle. This category is for canines with class and a little bit of attitude. Watch out for the paparazzi!
Pooches & Polo Dog Parade:
Please join us with your pooches on the field at half time for a doggy parade. Just follow the Dalmation!
